After 60% Plunge, XRP Targets Rebound Amid ‘Last Chance’ Warning

XRP (Ripple) has shown a sluggish performance this year, falling 27%, but an analysis suggests it should be viewed as a buying opportunity before 2027.

According to investment media outlet The Motley Fool on April 10 (local time), XRP has declined about 27% in 2026 and has fallen more than 60% from its peak last summer. However, some analysts believe the current correction could present a buying opportunity.

The first basis for this assessment is Ripple’s strategic shift. Unlike in the past, when it focused on serving as an alternative payment network to SWIFT (the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), Ripple is now pivoting toward building an “ecosystem” that connects various projects. In fact, Ripple recently launched XAO DAO to support projects based on its native network and expand its use cases.

This expansion of the ecosystem is also seen as potentially lowering barriers to institutional adoption. Financial institutions tend to prioritize proven networks and scalability over technology alone, and a multi-layered ecosystem can simultaneously address diverse needs such as validation, security, and asset tokenization.

The regulatory environment is another positive factor. Ripple has resolved its investigation issues with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), while progress on the GENIUS stablecoin regulation bill and U.S. crypto market structure legislation, including the CLARITY Act, has eased policy uncertainty. This trend is raising expectations for increased institutional capital inflows.

However, actual execution remains in the verification stage. The outlet added that if Ripple’s ecosystem demonstrates meaningful achievements this year, the current price range could become the “last low entry point,” though investment appeal may vary significantly depending on future performance.
